Launch of the In-Prison Education and Training Committee to Enhance Rehabilitation and Empower Inmates

The National Committee for the Care of Prisoners, Released Persons and their Families announced the launch of the In-Prison Education and Training Committee — one of the committees emanating from the Committee's board — with the goal of building an integrated educational and vocational system within correctional facilities.

The committee aims to develop a comprehensive national strategy for education and training within prisons, and to design educational and vocational programs suited to inmates' cognitive abilities, helping to rehabilitate them and enable their positive integration into society after release.
